12-Point Flange Nuts are cold formed from high strength 4135 Chrome Moly Alloy Steel which are heat treated and then finished in black oxide or Titanium Allo. Rated at 180,000 PSI tensile strength. With more points of contact than a hex, these flange nuts allow you to get a better grip for more driver torque. The flange distributes pressure where the nut meets the material surface, eliminating the need for a separate washer.
